About Us

Authentic Maine lobster roll destined to tempt even the most jaded palates in Hong Kong

Rejoice Hongkongers, if you are an avid fan of the scrumptious lobster roll or an all-round foodie, because a unique seafood roll aficionado has come to town. LOBSTER CENTRAL is one of the first (if not the first) specialist lobster roll restaurant in Hong Kong and will be rolling (pun definitely intended) into town with its own special take on this gastronomic experience.

LC Philosophy

Our mission at LOBSTER CENTRAL is to bring to customers a true seafood roll experience by being one of the first specialist lobster roll restaurants in Hong Kong.

Unlike other restaurants, our lobster roll is not just one additional item on our menu. It is the core of what we do best.

At LOBSTER CENTRAL we want to provide our customers with authentic lobster rolls presented in their simplest, naked form. What do we mean by naked? A roll without flash and frills, without covering them up with sauce or diluting their taste with salad.

The Famous Lobster Roll

Our aim at LOBSTER CENTRAL is to create an authentic lobster roll by striping it down to it’s most naked form, which means they are dressed minimally and are not covered up with non-essentials like salads. We do top off our rolls with a drizzle of lemon butter (made on site) and a sprinkle of our own secret spice mix, but mainly we want the freshness and flavours of the lobsters to do the talking.

Each of our lobster rolls are made with one whole Maine lobster. We put everything from the lobsters into our rolls from the tail, knuckles and claws. All Maine lobsters weigh at least a regulation weight of 1lbs and when caught, is boiled on site in seawater before they’re flown in from the US.

To maintain the quality of our lobster rolls, only a limited number are available each day.

Crab & Shrimps on Heartily Baked Rolls

Adhering to LOBSTER CENTRAL’s principal of harnessing just the best parts of an ingredient, only the light and flavoursome claw meat of a crab is used in our crab rolls.

Also, only plump juicy shrimps, chosen for their sweetness and tenderness, are used in our Shrimp rolls. Over 120g of crab and shrimp meat is packed into each of our rolls. Speaking of rolls, all the rolls we use at LOBSTER CENTRAL are freshly baked by a local baker to our specifications. Before serving, we lightly butter and toast each roll to bring out the aromas of the bread and crisp up the sides, whilst keeping the roll soft on the inside.

Attention is given to the construction of every roll so that with each bite, your palate will be treated to a perfect combination of tasty seafood and fresh oven baked bread.

Roll Creation

Curated by a celebrated chef known for his inspiration for innovative food designs, the menu is designed to delight with a great array of unpretentious, delectable bites. From LOBSTER CENTRAL’s signature rolls and small batch of lobster bisque made from the restaurant’s own special recipe, to sweet potato and truffle fries and fresh cut slaw.
